May 26 TSC Event

Allis Chalmers

Allis-Chalmers began manufacturing tractors and farm equipment in 1914. The company was first established as E.P. Allis of Milwaukee in the 1840s.Allis manufactured grindstones, waterwheels, and sawmills. Later  the company soon began manufacturing steam engines and industrial equipment in the Milwaukee area after merging with Fraser & Chalmers, a steel and mining manufacturer. Allis-Chalmers began manufacturing farm equipment in 1914, during the years of World War I.
